MOSCOW, May 11 (PRIME) -- Russian President Vladimir Putin has not yet made any decisions to appoint Alexei Kudrin, chairman of the board of the Center for Strategic Research and finance minister in 2000–2011, head of the Audit Chamber, presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Friday.

“As you know, we never announce any staff decisions, and we will not do it this time as well. I can only say that no decisions have been made by the president on this issue, and if and when they are made, we will immediately announce. But so far there have not been any decisions,” Peskov said.

Kudrin’s representative told PRIME late Thursday that Kudrin received an offer to chair the Audit Chamber and was considering it.

Andrei Isayev, deputy head of the United Russia party in the State Duma, the parliament’s lower house, said the fraction’s presidium plans to meet with Kudrin on May 14.
